What are the advantages of Computer Generated Imagery?
• You don't need a physical product, or to conduct a physical shoot.
• We can generate imagery at super high resolution without any loss or degredation.
• We can generate impossible shots where no physical camera could go, slice products in half, create 'x-ray' views of interiors, exploded diagrams etc.
• Greater consistency; keep every virtual set and location ever used, ready to go at a moment's notice.
• CGI offers greater flexibility; we can make changes photographers can’t.
• 24/7 imagery on demand changes the way you think about product imagery.
Why DreamShot CGI?
"Think creatively, speak truthfuly and act accordingly" is our mantra.
DreamShot is deliberately positioned as the best quality suitable for house-name brands at pricing affordable for SMEs.
Our biggest differentiator is connecting technology, vision, client requirements, logistics and processes so well we can say "yes" more, ask less, and deliver better quality than anyone else.
We continually and obsessively invest in tech which speeds up our workflow enabling more creative iterations, faster turnaround, and higher fidelity output.
Upmarket from us are CGI & VFX firms such as Double Negative. Upscale from us you'll find Mackevision. We won't name those down market from us; but there you'll find finance-led businesses and micro / one-person agencies with freelance CGI artists.
We are a close-knit, small team of full-time employed people led by hands-on founders; UK based, ready to take your project seriously. We are dynamic, enthusiastic, and excited to talk with you.
When is CGI not appropriate?
As a general rule of thumb, if the content you desire is a video which includes photo-real humans you may be best off with a conventional production.
However, for everything else CGI is very likely to offer a big benefit.
How does it work?
Practically, we will:
1) Discuss & agree a project scope, budget and timeplan
2) Guide you through the process of planning, creating and adjusting to your feedback
3) Deliver the final content
Technically, a 3 dimensional shape is constructed digitally and then a material like glass or metal is applied to the surface.
This 3D shape is then 'rendered' into a 2D image. Rather like a normal photograph of a banana is a 2D image of a 3D banana. That image is the output product for most content we produce (but not always). A video is essentially lots of images, about 25 images for every second of video.
How much does it cost?
There is an incredible range and variety of projects that CGI can cover.
At the lower end of the scale are projects such as 'photographing' an object you already have CAD designs for. At the higher end are feature length animations with multiple characters, voice overs, music and narration.
So, in truth, the range could be anything from £1,000 up to £250,000 or more.
Rest assured, we can service your needs and hold your hand through the entire journey together - whatever your scale of project.
Please get it touch and discuss with us. You may be pleasantly surprised.
